Nutritious Rava Vegetable Upma

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Nutritious Rava (≈50 g)
  • 1 to 1.25 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Oil/Ghee
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
  • 5–6 Curry leaves
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 2 tbsp Onion
  • ¼ cup Mixed vegetables
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Lemon juice

Method

  1. Dry roast rava lightly (2–3 min).
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds.
  3. Add curry leaves and chilli.
  4. Add onion and vegetables.
  5. Add water and salt.
  6. Add rava slowly while stirring.
  7. Cook 3–4 minutes.
  8. Finish with lemon juice.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Nutritious Rava
  • ¼ cup Curd
  • ¼–½ cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Onion
  • 2 tbsp Capsicum/Carrot
  • Ajwain pinch
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Make medium-thick batter.
  3. Rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread on tawa.
  5. Cook both sides with little oil.

  • 1 cup Nutritious Rava
  • 1 cup Curd
  • Water as needed
  • ½ tsp Eno
  • Mustard seeds + Curry leaves

Method

  1. Mix rava and curd.
  2. Rest for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Add salt and water.
  4. Add Eno and mix gently.
  5. Steam for 10–12 minutes.

  • 1–1.5 cup Water/Milk
  • 1–2 tsp Ghee

Method

  1. Roast rava in ghee.
  2. Add warm liquid slowly.
  3. Add jaggery and cook.
  4. Add cardamom and nuts.

  • 1.5 cups Water
  • Green chilli paste
  • ½ tsp Jeera

Method

  1. Boil water with spices.
  2. Add rava slowly with stirring.
  3. Cook on low flame.
  4. Remove lumps and cook till soft.
